The Company

Symbioken has been established on 2011, has developed innovative solutions from adipose mesenchymal stem cells.


Founders are Véronique Santran and Patrick Malbert.


CEO of the company Symbioken, Véronique Santran, PhD. in cell and molecular biology, is specialist in stem cells.


Patrick Malbert is executive vice president. In the supporting team a regulatory affairs and quality officer is involved in the managment of the company.


With our shareholders, BPI France and the Région Occitanie support Symbioken.


Technology

Symbioken has set up an innovative technology that allows extraction of both stem cells and matrix from adipose tissue from one patient.
During the process, stem cells are concentrated and the matrix is prepared to enhance stem cells adhesion and survival.

The key differentiation factor of Symbioken’s technology is in the scaffold-matrix preparation for cells. Cells associated to it, benefit from this scaffold-matrix which exhibits essential biological properties.


Together with the matrix, stem cells are then re-injected to the same patient, into skin site to repair. So the skin is regenerated.


Thanks to Research and Development team, proof of concept, and whole safety and efficacy pre-clinical tests have been successfully realized.

Products

Symbioken has set up a device composed of an equipment RotaxCell® and a kit AmeaCell® dedicated to this equipment, to work through the whole process. It allows to get stem cells and matrix in the best way of safety and efficiency.


Two patents have been filled for this innovative device.
This medical device has got the authorization for being tested on patients, an European clinical investigation is currently in progress.
